Ryder Becker
Becker & Sons, LLC was founded in 2019 by Ryder and Jenna Becker, both with deep generational roots in Colorado ranching communities. Ryder brought years of experience as a construction superintendent in Denver before starting the company, and together they are now raising the seventh generation of their family in Westcliffe.
The name Becker & Sons carries family history—Ryder’s great-grandfather named his ranching operations Frank F. Gates & Sons, followed by his grandfather’s operations, George A. Gates & Sons. Ryder continued this tradition with his own business name, leaving the door open for his sons to one day pursue custom home building if they choose. The company is a licensed and insured general contractor, committed to building high-quality, energy-efficient home, code-compliant homes even in Custer County, where code compliance isn’t required.

This project was a large addition in the Spread Eagle Subdivision. The existing home’s lower level originally served as a garage, but Becker & Sons repurposed it into a new living space that became the central point of the home.
One of the key elements of the build was seamlessly tying the addition into the existing structure to make it feel like part of the original design. They achieved this by carefully matching the exterior siding and roofing, as well as selecting interior doors and trim finishes that complemented the existing style. The result is a cohesive and thoughtfully integrated expansion of the home.
